Frontier Communications strikes deal with union ahead of AT&T deal
Frontier Communications has reached a tentative agreement with the Communication Workers of America to ensure additional jobs in Connecticut and benefits for union members. The agreement would extend AT&T?s current contract with CWA District 1 until April 2018. The tentative deal comes ahead of Frontier?s acquisition of AT&T?s landline business which still much gain the approval of the FCC and the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority. The additional jobs coming to Connecticut would be high tech jobs tasked with monitoring and providing technical support for Frontier?s networks.
