Federal board accuses port trucking firm of labor law violations
A trucking company in Carson, California has been accused of more than 50 different labor law violations by the National Labor Relations Board. Green Fleet Systems was accused of firing drivers for union activity, retaliating against pro-labor employees, and planting operatives in its workforce to subvert union activity. The company?s attorney has claimed that both the Teamsters and the NLRB refused to acknowledge the company?s evidence against the charges filed and that the union?s campaign was failing. There are allegations that the company also threatened to fire employees who showed pro-union tendencies.
