U.S. Jobless Claims Hit Two-Month High, Breaking Steady Decline
Last week American unemployment claims rose to the highest levels seen since June. Unemployment claims went from 11,000 to 315,000 greatly exceeding Bloomberg?s projected value of 300,000. This comes as a surprise after 142,000 workers were added to employer payrolls last month. Even with this increase in unemployment claims, the U.S. unemployment rate still remains 6.1%.
