B.C. Teachers? Strike: Educators Back on Picket Lines
This past June over 40,000 unionized teachers in British Columbia walked off the job. Teachers took a break from the picket lines during the summer months, but returned in expectance of the new school year. Teachers are dissatisfied with benefits, class size/composition and wages. They now face large financial losses associated with the strike causing them to seek alternative jobs and rely on family.
