Zambian Union Threatens Strikes Over Public-Sector Wage Freeze
As the cost of living continues to rise, the Zambian government has planned a wage freeze that will continue into 2015. In addition, a hiring freeze was implemented last year. These are efforts to reduce the large deficit that the country currently faces. The Zambian Congress of Trade Unions is threatening to strike if the wage freeze continues.
