Minimum Wage Delayed and Overtime Protections are Delayed for Home-Care Workers
Under the new rule passed by the Obama Administration, home-care workers will be required to receive a federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour. Enforcement of this rule has been pushed back from January 1st, 2015 to June 30th. Beginning in July, enforcement of minimum wage and overtime will be at the discretion of the Labor Department.
