In England and Northern Ireland, NHS employees went on strike for four-hours today demanding that a 1% pay increase be applied to all staff. Approximately 12,500 workers participated in the walkout. At the end of this strike, workers plan to refuse to work overtime or demand higher pay for extra hours. Urgent care services were not affected by today?s strike.
