L.A.-Area Port Truckers Expand Strike to Three New Companies
On Monday, the striking dockworkers whose contract expired in July were joined by more workers in order to pressure employers to negotiate a contract quickly for the 20,000 employees. The strikers, who are currently at Los Angeles and Long Beach port, are accusing employers of wage theft. Now drivers backed by the teamsters and employed by WinWin Logistics Inc., LACA Express and QTS Inc. have joined the strike.
