A Majority of States Now Have Minimum Wages Higher than the Federal Minimum
Over 20 states now have a state minimum wage that exceeds the federal minimum wage of $7.25 as of the start of 2015. Cities such as Seattle and San Francisco will have minimum wages well over $10 by this coming summer. Other cities are pushing for their wage to be raised to over $15.
