Over the last year, unemployment in Ireland has fallen 23 times to now settle at 51,200. This puts the unemployment rate for Ireland at 6.3% currently. However, the unemployment claims in Ireland only fell by 1.3% percent, while the UK as a whole saw a 2,9% decrease.
