Pegatron is the company that manages Apple's Taiwanese factories. Pegatron has purposely held the wages below the standard of living at its factories in order to win business away from other Apple manufacturers. Although Apple claims it constantly monitors its working conditions, the company was oblivious of the poor treatment in Pegatron's facilities.
