Panasonic Agrees to Base Pay Rises Bigger Than Last Year
In 2014, Panasonic increased its wages for employees in Japan by 2,000 yen. For this year, negotiations with the electronic market's labor union have led to a wage increase of 3,000 yen. Even with these wage increases, real wages in 2014 actually fell by 2.4 percent. Japanese countries reported record profits over the last several years.
