Recently, the Chairman of Volkswagen, Ferdinand Piech along with his wife stepped down from their positions on the company's board. He was forced out by labor officials on the board who felt that he had committed a breach of trust. Piech had been publicly provoking Martin Winterkorn, the Chief Executive.
