South Korean court orders Mitsubishi Heavy to pay Korean women for forced labor
A South Korean top court has ordered compensation for WWII laborers forced into labor for Japanese company Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. Five women were affected by this ruling, who were forced to work in factories between ages 13 and 15. Lower courts have mirrored the high court?s decision and many other Japanese companies have had to compensate for forced labor, nearly 75 years later.
