Obama Could Boost Wages for Millions Through Overtime Eligibility
6 million low and middle class workers could be hit with pay raises if the Obama administration and the Department of Labor increase the overtime threshold for salaried employees. The $23,660 threshold hasn?t been touched since the 1970s. Opposed by the retail and restaurant industries, the new eligibility rule has been rumored for the past year but could be announced in the next few days.
