First Few Fishing Slaves Home in Myanmar; Hundreds Waiting
Over the past month, approximately 600 former labor slaves have been found. Some of these men, who were held captive for over 5 years, were returned to their homes in Myanmar. Many of these slaves worked in Thailand as fishermen. Their work days sometimes last as long as 24 hours and the men were not provided with clean drinking water or adequate meals.
