Hungary Honors Its 700,000 Victims of Soviet Labor Camps
Today, the citizens of Hungary remember the approximately 700,000 people who were taken to Soviet Labor camps 70 years ago. Of those 700,000, less than half of them ever returned home. In total, approximately 15 million people were sent to those labor camps. Memorials were held today in places where people were rounded up before being taken to the labor camps.
