Former high school principal appeals termination
The former principal of a high school in West Palm Beach is undergoing his district's appeal process following his termination. Latson was terminated due to offensive remarks that he made regarding the Holocaust. The school district has stated that Latson was not fired initially, but simply reassigned to a new position following his inappropriate conduct where he continued to engage in inappropriate behaviors. Ultimately, his hearings will determine whether or not his termination was appropriate. His legal team has stated that suspension would have been a more just outcome.
