Assisting new parents at work
It can be challenging for new parents to return to the workplace due to shifting priorities and the biases that employers may have against women with children. Currently, 41% of workers have children and the number of single mothers in the workplace has increased in recent years. In order to ease the transition for mothers reentering the workplace, there are a number things that managers can do such as provide spaces where women can pump and create groups for employees with children. Additionally, employers can modernize parental leave policies and create reintegration programs for new moms.
