Manufacturers in China struggle to recover following coronavirus restrictions
Due to the coronavirus epidemic, Chinese manufacturing firms are struggling to get back to work following the Lunar New Year break. A number of travel restrictions have been put in place to quarantine the virus which means manufacturing employees are unable to return to work. At one factory in southern China, all of the quality inspectors have been absent due to travel restrictions. Firms throughout Asia and in the United States as well have struggled due to a lack of production parts. A factory in Thailand had to close completely, laying off more than 300 workers due to a lack of supplies.
