Managing Layoffs During COVID-19
The COVID-19 outbreak has called numerous layoffs throughout American industries. For employees, being laid off can be an intense emotional time. Psychologists have recommended that for employees worrying about how to find their next job, they should actually reduce the amount of time they spend actively looking for a new job, carve out specific time periods which they can devote to worrying about finding new jobs, and to redefine their self-image outside of the workplace.
