New York Road Runners (NYRR) is the nonprofit organization behind the New York City Marathon. Recently, allegations of racism and sexism have come forth against NYRR. NYRR has retained an outside legal firm, Proskauser Rose, to interview employees and examine the organization’s policies and practices. Additionally, the board of directors at NYRR has subsequently expanded the scope of Proskauer’s interviews to include former staff who had left NYRR within the past four years.
