During the COVID-19 pandemic nearly all workplaces have transitioned to remote work. AS a result many companies have instituted a new position, director of remote work. Facebook was one of the leading companies to announce that they were adding the position of director of remote work. As Facebook has also announced that they will keep their workforce at home until June 2021. One of the key reasons that companies are adding the is to aid in the process of creating similar employee experiences both for in person employees and remote employees.
