Workers at Mapbox form a union and request voluntary recognition
San-Francisco based location data platform, Mapbox, has had 147 of their eligible 220 workers sign union cards and as of Tuesday, management had not responded to their request for recognition. In the technology industry, there is growing popularity of unions to better regulate working conditions and business practices of big tech firms. The company is in talks about going public and has not commented on whether they intend to voluntarily recognize the union that workers have formed.
