Roku's culture is called into question by former employees
Former employees at Roku speak out about the workplace culture and say that working at the company was confusing and frustrating. Roku claims to have a sports team like structure where everyone is compensated competitively, expected to perform at a high level and given real-time feedback. Despite Roku offering wages at or beyond employee expectations and unlimited vacation time, they are being called out for other practices such as limited employee perks and benefits, no formal training, no performance reviews, and insufficient reasoning given in terminations. In response to former employees claiming that the Roku culture does not match their claimed culture, a spokesperson said "We compete to attract and retain the best talent anywhere and treat people like adults."
