Research suggests that a move to a shorter workweek would be successful
Research out of Iceland points to a shorter workweek as the solution to worker productivity. A study was conducted where employees worked 35 or 36 hours weekly without a deduction in pay from their normal 40-hour weeks. The study found that workers were more productive, less stressed, and had more work-life balance.
