German banks are leaving their offices behind
In contrast to the U.S. hold on in-person working models, banks in Germany are letting go of their office spaces to cut costs and allow their employees to work from home. With the office reductions, many banks are choosing to have a “hot-desking” model where employees do not have assigned working areas but open spaces for when they may come into the office a few days a week. By embracing real-estate cuts, banks will lessen their third largest business expense.
