Study finds that universal internet access can improve worker productivity
A new study concludes that high-speed internet access for all Americans can lead to increased worker productivity. Pre-pandemic about 5% of full workdays were completed at home, while that is expected to decline, experts believe it will settle at about 20% of full workdays being completed from home. The study found that high quality internet access could lead to a sustained boost in worker productivity and increase economic output by $160 billion a year. The study also found that better home internet access could increase the propensity of working from home in the future.
