Companies are looking to charge unvaccinated employees a monthly fee
Company benefit consultants say that employers will be using a stick approach to encourage employee vaccinations to accompany the carrot approach of incentives. Employers have offered paid time off, cash, gift cards, and other financial incentives but vaccination rates have stalled. Benefits experts say that companies are considering $20 to $50 monthly charges to unvaccinated employees. This charge will encourage vaccination but also help pay premium increases for those who get COVID-19.
