VA says they will expand their vaccine mandate to 245,000 more workers
The Department of Veteran Affairs is set to expand their vaccine mandate to 245,000 workers. Previously the VA had mandated about 115,000 people to get the vaccine who volunteered or worked in VA facilities. This expansion will now include workers like housekeepers, engineers, and administrative personnel whereas the previous policy only included health care workers. The VA Secretary says they are doing this for a simple reason, “this is the best way to protect our veteran patients in the VA system.”
