Complaint against Home Depot alleges employee was terminated for wearing Black Lives Matter logo
The National Labor Relations Board is investigating a complaint against Home Depot that the retailer terminated an employee for wearing a Black Lives Matter slogan and for attempting to talk to fellow employees about racial harassment issues. The complaint also alleges that the company has intimidated employees in order that they not discuss harassment issues. The retailer denies the allegations, saying they are unfounded. The retailer does have a dress code prohibiting the wearing of political messages on their work clothes, which is not illegal.
