Washington state union workers agree to a COVID-19 vaccine mandate
The governor of Washington State announced one of the strictest COVID-19 vaccine mandates for state employees and faced backlash. The Washington Federation of State Employees believed the governor’s administration to be bargaining in bad faith and sued over the labor complaint. But only days later, the union has reached an agreement that still needs to be ratified. Workers have until October 18th to get vaccinated or lose their jobs and they will be rewarded with an additional personal leave day in 2022.
