Striking Nabisco workers will vote on a new contract
Mondelez International and the union representing Nabisco plant workers have reached a tentative agreement. Over 1,000 workers from at least six different locations nationwide have been striking and picketing since August. Mondelez International proposed on August 31st concessions to the new contract that would include a $5,000 bonus for each employee, increases to the company's 401K match, and wage increases for each year of the four-year contract. Although, it is unclear what the terms of this new agreement are. A union vote will occur in a few days and these workers will continue to picket until an agreement is ratified.
