Workers for the public safety app Citizen are forming a union. In September, the central operations department employees filed with the NLRB to hold a union election. The workers are being unionized through the Communications Workers of America. It is unclear what caused this want for a union, but former employees have said the job required grueling and odd hours that caused immense stress. A Citizen spokesperson said the company is against the union drive.
