Over 30,000 home health care workers miss COVID vaccine deadline
Preliminary data from the New York Department of Health shows that at least 34,000 home health care workers have missed the Thursday COVID-19 vaccine mandate deadline. These numbers are higher than industry leaders expected with 86% of licensed home health agency employees having gotten at least one does of the vaccine. Despite these hopeful numbers, those who missed the deadline will be unable to work and will heighten labor shortage concerns.
