Hollywood strike is called off
Hollywood workers will not go on strike after all following a tentative deal. The IATSE representing camera technicians, makeup artist, costume designers, and other behind the scenes workers has made a tentative deal with the AMPTP which represents film and television production companies. The tentative agreement still must be ratified by the IATSE members. The agreement achieves many of their goals such as improved working conditions and higher wages, retroactive pay increases of 3% annually, and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
