Employees at Netflix have staged a walkout following the controversy of Dave Chappelle’s new special that many are considering anti-trans. Employees are also saying though that the issue runs much deeper. The walkout first began as a proposal for a paid day off for trans and nonbinary employees to deal with the exhaustion that they incurred from the Chappelle issue. When workers saw little engagement from executives, they started to organize the walkout. The employees expected to walk out are demanding that Netflix better supports their trans and nonbinary employees.
