New guidance for federal contractors gives flexibility for enforcing COVID-19 vaccine mandates
Today the White House released new guidance on the federal contractors COVID-19 vaccine mandate that was announced in September by President Joe Biden that will give contractors some flexibility on the implementation of the mandate. The new guidance says that employers can determine how they enforce the vaccine requirements, how they approve religious and medical exemptions, and ultimately what happens to employees who do not abide by the mandate. On Friday, 11 states sued the administration saying that the mandate is unconstitutional, and many businesses have asked for the mandate to be delayed until after the holidays.
