Kellogg Co. seeks to restrain its striking cereal workers
Workers at Kellogg Co. have been on strike since October 5th and two days of contract talks earlier this month failed to produce an agreement. Earlier this week the company filed a lawsuit against the local union in Omaha, seeking a temporary restraining order. The company alleges that workers are blocking entrances, intimidating replacement workers as they enter the plant, and generally endangering the safety of all individuals in the vicinity of the plant. The company says they have made every attempt to build a new agreement, but that they are continuously met with rejections and unrealistic demands while union officials told workers that their contract talks have simply just been full of concessions.
