Amazon workers to vote again for a union in Alabama
Amazon warehouse workers in Bessemer, Alabama will have another chance to vote for unionization. On Monday, the National Labor Relations Board announced that a new vote will be cast to replace the results of vote that happened in April. The NLRB’s regional director found that Amazon showed “flagrant disregard” for the rules of the vote and “made a free and fair election impossible.” Amazon expressed discontentment with the decision and vowed to continue to make employees know why they think a union will make it “more difficult to improve work conditions.”
