On Monday, Mayor De Blasio announced that all private employers in NYC will be mandated to require their workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19. This mandate will apply to about 184,000 businesses. Workers will be required to provide proof of receiving at least one dose of the vaccine by December 27th and there will be no option to test out. The mayor said he believes his mandate will survive any legal challenges.
