Kentucky governor Andy Beshear said that the state will open an investigation into the catastrophic tornado incident that left eight people dead in a Mayfield candle factory. But he emphasized that the inquiry shouldn't suggest any wrongdoing, but it will give confidence to people as to what happened. A spokesperson for the Mayfield Consumer Products factory said that the state inquiry is “entirely appropriate” and that in such a catastrophic situation their regulators need to review these things.
