DOJ asks Supreme Court to reinstate the health care worker vaccine mandate
The Department of Justice has asked the Supreme Court to allow the US Department of Health and Human Services’ Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ vaccine mandate for health care workers to go into effect nationwide. This mandate would regulate more than 10.3 million health care workers in the US. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar said that the requirement will “save hundreds or even thousands of lives each month.” This Supreme Court decision would overrule the proceedings in lower courts which have blocked the healthcare worker mandate from being enforced in half the country.
