Refinery worker’s labor reps are set to begin negotiations with Marathon
Marathon Petroleum Corp and the United Steelworkers are set to begin new contract talks today for the 30,000 workers across the U.S. The current contract is set to expire February 1st. At the USW conference in August members voted on a series of objectives to seek in their new contract. Some of those objectives in the proposals ratified by local unions included “unspecified pay increases, improved health insurance and severance pay for workers who lose their jobs.”
