Workers ratify Exxon’s latest contract offer
USW members have voted to accept an Exxon Mobil Corp contract offer. After 10 months of being locked out, Exxon said employees will return to work “as soon as safely possible.” The contract is six years in length, added Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a paid holiday, and was made effective from February 1st. In the new contract, the union conceded to Exxon’s demand that they have the sole right to determine plant job assignments.
