Second New York Amazon facility gets a unionization vote
In a Staten Island sortation center, Amazon workers have been given the green light to hold a unionization vote. The Amazon Labor Union was notified by the NLRB that at least 30% of about 1,500 people at the facility had signed interest cards. In response to this effort, Amazon released a statement saying, “We look forward to having our employees’ voices heard. Our focus remains on working directly with our team to make Amazon a great place to work.”
