McDonald’s settles with insurance company over worker COVID-19 protection
McDonald’s has made a joint filing with Austin Mutual Insurance Co saying they have reached a tentative settlement to end a 2020 lawsuit. McDonald’s claimed that the insurance company was not fulfilling their requirement to cover costs of worker lawsuits when workers in Illinois filed a class action claiming the company had insufficient COVID-19 protection policies and equipment. The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.
