According to a study by Oxfam America, nearly one-third of U.S. workers earn less than $15 an hour. Huge disparities were uncovered with people of color and women. 46% and 47% of Hispanic and Black workers make less than $15 compared to only 26% of white workers. Also, 40% of female workers make less than $15, whereas only 25% of male workers do.
