Workers who live and work in NYC are looking to leave
In a recent survey of 9,386 employees by Morning Consult, 40% of workers who live in Manhattan said they are thinking of leaving the city as well as nearly half of the respondents who live in the other four boroughs. Public safety seems to be the growing concern dissuading workers from wanting to live in the city. 84% of respondents said that NYC’s overall conditions have gone downhill. Many workers cited their companies as being responsible for holding their elected official accountable for addressing rising crime and other city public safety concerns.
