Google Fiber contractors in Missouri become the first to unionize under Alphabet Workers Union
On Friday, 10 Google Fiber contractors in Kansas City, MO voted to unionize. In a vote of nine to one they became the first location of Google workers to unionize and gain bargaining rights under the Alphabet Workers Union. Workers say they have faced union busting leading all the way up to the vote. A retail associate at Google Fiber said, “We all enjoy our work with Google Fiber and look forward to sitting at the negotiation table with BDS Connected Solutions to set a new standard for our workplace to improve both worker, customer and company experience.”
